A men’s lifestyle magazine called Mangazine – China’s atempt at GQ offered to interview me about the work I had done in London, shooting bands. The article was a tie-in for the forthcoming Olympic closing ceremony where Beijing would handover the torch to the UK.

I flew down to Guangzhou and had a chat with them. They looked through my portfolio and chose some pictures they wanted in the article. SO I gave them a bunch of files and words and in a month, it was on the shelves. I have no idea what the article actually says but it’s possibly is the first piece of journalism in China to include the ‘c’ word. One of the images they ran was of weirdo art-band Selfish C*nt and Mangazine had not really understood my instructions to censor the name of the band before printing!
